Merriott has a good range of amenities. Crewkerne, with a range of shops including a Waitrose supermarket, is two miles away. The main line railway station for the London, Waterloo to Exeter line is at Crewkerne. The service to Waterloo takes two hours 30 minutes with trains leaving every hour. London Hammersmith can also be reached by Berry's Express Coach which runs a regular service twice a day.
