Reviews of Dunlin

"We were met by Jo the owner she was so amazing making us feel welcome and explaining where things were . She had put fresh flowers in the property with chocolates and a bottle of wine not forgetting the tin of food for Molly our dog and treats. What a fantastic break by walking and exploring the area followed by a relaxing rest in the hot tub. Anyone wanting a great place to stay in Somerset this is the place. Thanks to Jo and Norm keep up the good work . Hope to see you soon Rob Maxine and Molly"

"Having stayed in a lot of very good dog friendly cottages, Dunlin gets the fifth star on account of its location. An early morning walk on the empty beach (3minutes from the door), further walks on bigger beaches easily reached, plenty of designated bins, a park 10 minutes away for the last walk of the day. Plenty of countryside walks a short drive inland or along the coast. A small but secure garden . Inside the cottage, the owners have decorated and furnished to a high standard and make themselves available to meet ,greet and show you how the hot tub works...what a great asset to have. Their passion for wildlife is summed up by the bird feeders which attract a lot of visitors. Two large double bedrooms, a specific dining room, well equipped kitchen and bathroom, all spotlessly clean and obviously well cared for. If this doesn't tick all the dog owners boxes, I don't know what will."

"I can't recommend this property highly enough. The hosts were very welcoming, full of enthusiasm and knowledge about the local area. The house itself is up a quiet cul-de-sac, just a few minutes walk from the sea front. It is extremely well presented inside and out. The secluded gardens, both back and front, are delightful to sit in and read, and the hot tub is great to relax in after a busy day. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need and the lounge has a front facing aspect, and just outside the window are several bird feeders, which are used regularly by a variety of birds. It's a lovely room to sit in. The bathroom is newly fitted and a pleasure to use. The downstairs bedroom is spacious with a walk in wardrobe, and overlooks the back garden. The dining room is well set out, with a bookcase full of books for you to browse through and read. I can't fault this property or the hosts - if you want to stay in this area, this is the house to stay in. Thank you so much for making our week such a lovely one."

"The cottage is outstanding and the photos do not do it justice. The gardens were fabulous and so well looked after. The Bird feeders were great to watch and so relaxing. There was everything you could need and more supplied in the cottage. It's the first time I have took my dog on holiday and the cottage and garden was ideal a plus everything was supplied for my dog as well. The icing on the cake was the hot tub. The owner was so welcoming. The place deserves 5 stars +"

"Superb 5 star accommodation with modern fixtures & fittings, comfortable beds and settees. It was like staying in your own home with the quality and variety of cooking utensils, crockery etc. The gardens are absolutely lovely "cottage" gardens at the front and rear with secluded benches to sit on. It is very quiet as it is up a cul de sac and just over 5mins walk to the town centre or esplanade. If you are staying in the area this bungalow is a must to stay in. It is the very best of all the places we have stayed in over the last 10 years or so. We wish the owners every success and thank them for the hard work they have put in to maintain this wonderful accommodation."

"The property was spotlessly clean and tidy and everything you could possibly want was provided. Joy and Norm gave us a great welcome. The property was very well situated for both amenities and the beach at Burnham and surrounding areas like Weston Super Mare and Cheddar. I particularly liked the gardens, both front and back gave you a feeling of privacy & seclusion. The birds & other wildlife seem to enjoy it too."

"We loved the bungalow. The owners had thought of everything, there were some lovely touches including a bird feeder just outside the large living room windows, with a variety of feathered visitors to watch and plenty of British wildlife books in the bookcase, just in case you wanted to identify them! The highlight of my stay was going out with one of the owners to the Somerset Levels to take photographs and learn about the area. I would highly recommend this for anybody interested in photography, bird watching or wildlife and ecology in general. The owner is very knowledgeable and great fun. The property is within walking distance of the beach and town centre and a short drive to lots of other attractions. We could not have asked for more."
