Reviews of Ashes Lodge

"I stayed in this lodge with my husband and teenager. The lodge was immaculate and had plenty of storage space for our stay. The owners gave us a very warm welcome and had left cake and tea, coffee and milk for a much needed cuppa after a long drive. All we needed was provided including many extras such as washing up liquid, dvds, games and books. The village had two pubs both of which we sampled and the food was very good. I would definitely recommend a stay at Ashes Lodge as there are many places to visit a short drive away and the lodge was very comfortable"

"We particularly liked the proximity of lovely hill walking and also of Shrewsbury and the smaller towns and villages to Ashes Lodge. The feeling of being close to nature especially in our little garden. The friendliness of our welcome and the owners concern that we were finding our stay comfortable....which we were! "

"In a lovely position with two good pubs near by, and we were able to access many walks straight from the property. Had a lovely garden with seating and views. It was quiet and rural but also close to the main road. Everything was fresh, clean and of a good standard."

"Absolutely fantastic accommodation which was a pleasure to stay in. Clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped. A stay in February meant some cold days and nights but the property was very cosy and warm. The main room is south facing over farmland so there is plenty of natural light and the lane is very quiet so we were not disturbed by anything at night and slept very well. The owners were very welcoming and helpful but not intrusive. Perfect. Would definitely go back again if visiting the area."
