"Booked to celebrate Ukrainian Christmas for my 91 year old grandmother and jointly celebrate my mum's birthday. Had 13 of us comfortably entertained. Great array of twin, double and king sized bedrooms. Well equipped bathrooms and showers to cater for all of us. Loved the hot tub and cosy lounge. Dining was easy with the superbly stocked kitchen, plenty cutlery and crockery with electric range stove and 2 dishwashers made life easy to cater for us all. Lovely log burner with a good supply of extra logs in the lounge and separate dining room to host everyone at meal times. Great walks to be had but the town itself was lovely to walk round and sample the food and drink in the local pubs. The owner of the property was very welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. If the weather had been better we would have loved to use the tennis courts too. Great place, highly recommend a visit here. "

"My friends booked this for a total of 10 people as part of a year of celebrations. The house is enormous and is extremely comfortable. I was lucky to have one of the twin rooms at the top. There are 4 double rooms on the first level, so plenty of choice. There are dishwashers aplenty, a hot tub after a day of walking, and an Aga which took a little getting used to. The garden is well maintained and there are fresh herbs for cooking. My only concern is the tiny shower room on the first level, but there are 3 others to choose from. Everyone loved this house, the cottage adjacent to it is compact and the 10 of us chose to stick together in the larger property."

The gardens were stunning and very well kept, a haven for peace and tranquillity. The village was an ideal base to be able to go out in the evening and find somewhere to eat."

Our stay included three generations who all were impressed and enjoyed the property. The property was very well appointed with more than ample crockery and cutlery and two dishwashers to wash them all up in. The hot tub was a big hit with some. The property is situated at the top of the town which boasts two breweries, including the oldest licensed one on the UK and four other pubs, with ridge views on three sides. There is plenty of spaces for several cars, we had five between us and there was room for more."

"We are a group of school friends who meet up every year. This was a fantastic place with the perfect space. We loved being able to set the dining room up for mealtimes and found the buffet sideboard a brilliant addition. It is a character property with a few quirky corners but the furnishings and all beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the garden and hot tub. It is a great property if you have less mobile people with you as there is a ground floor bedroom and full wet room opposite. "

Overall I'd recommend it to any groups as there's something for everyone here. Great location, within walking distance of some lovely pubs and a lovely village/walks etc. Once you've arrived you don't need a car."
