Outside there is ample off road parking and a garden with a patio.1 Alpha Rise is in a great location for enjoying the stunning scenery and fascinating history that this area has to offer.

Gilsland is a small village with a country inn and most of its houses in Northumberland, but the edges spill over into Cumbria. It is situated on Hadrian's Wall and is ideal for exploring the north Pennines, Eden Valley, the Scottish Borders and even as far south west as the Lake District National Park.

"Well located ,to Hadrian wall,good for people like ourselves who like walking combined with some history.the cottage it's self was fantastic ,lovely comfy beds,lots of space and well equipped ,one of the best equipped we have stayed in.emaculatley clean when we arrived .we had a great week despite the snow ,would definitely come back and recommend to our friends."

"Spent a week here meeting up with 2 friends. The house was brilliant, owners very friendly and if you need any thing you just have to ask. In a quite village with 2 pubs and a cafe. within easy walking distance of Harrians wall and other wall areas within a short drive away. Would recommend this to any one wishing to visit Hadrians wall."
