Reviews of Wynnville

"Had a very pleasant week in this cottage. Very well situated for the Yorkshire Dales and within easy reach of Skipton with its many restaurants and excellent markets. Cottage was warm, with all facilities, and comfortable, however, at six foot three, I could have done with a larger lounge chair and bed. These would not be a problem for most people however."

"The cottage was very well equipped and thoughtfully laid out. We were travelling with my sister who has limited mobility and the bath room with shower accommodated her needs very well. The cottage has a warm and welcoming feel and is a great place to relax. Cliff and Rosamund are great hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Embsay is lovely little village with two pubs- make sure you to the one at the top of the hill- and not far from Skipton. We'd go back tomorrow and next time we're in the UK we will certainly stay again."

"Wynnville had plenty of storage and we felt at home straight away. This is a good base if you are exploring the Dales and local towns / attractions. The food in both pubs in the village was good, although the choice for vegetarians was limited. Booking on a Friday night is recommended!"

"This was not our first visit to the property and we hope to visit again in the future. There is nothing to not like, the standard of the property and garden is excellent and the location perfect. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. A perfect holiday for us, even if the weather is not too good it doesn't spoil our time there."

"My husband and I often go away around November time and have stayed in several cottages in this area for a number of years. We chose this property for location and the fact it had wifi, according to the advertising. When we arrived the bungalow was clean in most areas, when the owners arrived they didn't show us how to work appliances etc. which in the past owners have gone out of their way to do so, and as for the wifi we could only receive this if we were stood in the garage in the corner, so feel that this should not be advertised with wifi if this is the only place in the property you can receive it, it's misleading. Also we found if you are tall and have long legs the suite is not very comfortable and the television is a postage stamp in the corner. These two points are not particularly a deal breaker if you are there in summer because most of your time you're not in and tv is not watched, but in winter you're not able to sit outside or go for walks after tea. I think in future we will be trying somewhere else, unless the facilities are improved."

"Nice cottage well positioned for Skipton and dales. Well heated necessary for time of year of our visit. we selected primarily however for availability of wifi. as well as location. We required internet access for TV players etc and for house hunting. wifi was totally inadequate. Only available in one corner of living room and corner of cold garage and extremely slow then. Our mobile reception was also non existent. Could not recommend to anyone wanting wifi, Should not be advertised as having wifi unless dramatically improved"

We have lived in the area so it was lovely to be back. The owners, living next door, were grand people - nice and friendly. The bungalow was very clean, well-equipped and comfortable. Just one thing - not a big problem but if no-one mentions it, the owners will never know - the bed was a bit lumpy! The only other thing was the cleaners were too prompt - we said it was OK, but I can imagine some people might not like it. Apart from that it was brilliant."
