Reviews of The Threshing Floor At Tennant Barn

"We have just returned from a weeks break in Malham. We stayed at this super well equipped cosy cottage at the centre of the village. The cottage is very well furnished with a lovely kitchen with everything you would ever need. The bedroom is large and the bed is very comfortable and you will enjoy a perfect nights sleep. The bathroom has a bath with shower and huge fluffy towels. The cottage is right near the centre of the village but it is extremely quiet and offers a view from the living area out onto the Malham river. We called in at the farm shop at Airton on our way to the cottage and stocked up on local sausage, bacon and eggs as well as cheeses which were delicious. There are numerous walks around Malham taking in Janets Foss waterfall, Malham Cove and Malham Tarn and also Gordale Scar. If you wish to dine out in the village then I can recommend the Lister Arms which is only 100 yards away and offers friendly service with some outstanding food. Christine the owner of the cottage even called around mid week to see if we had settled in ok. This is one place we will definitely be returning to in the near future."

"We have just had a lovely week in this cottage. The accommodation is perfect, warm, comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The area is great for walking with wonderful scenery. Can't believe we have never been to Malham before. The weather was mixed but we still found plenty to do, a trip on the Settle to Carlisle railway, an afternoon in Grassington, a trip into Skipton on the bus from Malham and of course walks to Malham Cove, Gordale Scar, Janet's Fosse and Malham Tarn all from the village. We returned home really relaxed. Cannot fault this accommodation and would definitely stay here again if returning to Malham. Highly recommended !!"

"The Threshing Floor was beautifully furnished and excellently equipped. We were fortunate enough to be the first guests following the refurbishment, which has been completed to a very high standard and with great attention to detail. The bedsheets were Egyptian cotton; there is a large built-in wardrobe in the bedroom, and the kitchen had every possible utensil and appliance we could need. The property is cosy, atmospheric and very tastefully decorated. It has a lovely position within the village of Malham, close to two pubs offering good food. We would definitely like to return."

"This is a beautifully renovated cottage in an idyllic little village. It comes with its own parking space and a sweet little front garden for sitting outside. Inside is lovely, it is obvious that a lot of thought has gone into this little cottage. The owners are very kind and are available if you need them. We booked through Sykes Cottages but had contact with Mrs Carr before we arrived to discuss keys etc. Malham is a good base for exploring the Dales. We would definitely go back. A week wasn't long enough!"

"This newly renovated, very well equipped and comfortable cottage provided the perfect conditions for us to have a wonderful holiday. Beautiful surroundings offered many possibilities for walking. Sitting on our own private little terrace of The Threshing Floor, we watched the world go by; across the stream the bustling activity in Malham, with its two pubs and popular NT information Centre, did not disturb us one bit, but instead gave us the feeling of belonging... We'll be back!"
