Reviews of The Nook Bank Newton

"Up the road from here is a more modern typical tourist conversion that feels touristy, but this place feels, well, words fail me, to paint a picture of just how lovely it is. OK it is helped along it way by hitting on good weather. The place is small but large it that makes any sense. It is a cottage for two. A fab bathroom, lovely bedroom and to our surprise VERY comfortable beds. Two large squidgy singles with fresh sweet smelling linen. I am writing this as I sit overlooking the most lovely view from our sweet lounge. This place is quaint, a little old fashioned but homely, a true sense of contentment envelopes you. I am a demanding person yet this place calms me. The owner is charming, helpful and even baked a cake for us. Fresh flowers in the hall greeted us on arrival. There are some splendid walks from right outside your door and not far is the town/village of Skipton with a lively good market, some pretty good restaurants, do try Le Bistro, very French and tasty food. I strongly recommend this place, it gives you the sense of living here, even if for us it was just one week. Have no fear we will be back."
