Reviews of Pemba Cottage

"Pemba Cottage is set to tick all the boxes. My family stayed here in what can only be described as the windiest & wettest half term ever, however my critism of my week in Threshfield stops there. The cottage was all prepared to welcome us as we arrived on friday evening, local fare on the table to keep us going till supper was a lovely surprise. I can't think of one thing that John & Nikki haven't thought of that their guests may need, it is simply home from home. I will note some hi-lights for me. The main bedroom has a super king bed and offers an amazing nights sleep, although it is dark 'out in the sticks' the dark blinds and curtains ensure you don't rise too early. All the bedding was spotless and fresh. It was incredibly quiet (apart from the wind!) The kitchen offers every appliance needed to be able to support a self catering couple / family break. The kitchen table big enough to allow the 4 of us to eat our meals, but without cramming the room. A big plus for me was that although the kitchen doesn't appear massive, there is plenty of cupboard space allowing guests to put their own groceries away, rather than leaving them out on the side. The living room was spacious with a lovely wood buring stove. We visited 'The Old Hall' a couple of times during our stay, it was fairly quiet but its proximity to the cottage makes it ideal for food & drink. Local Spar shop is 5 minutes away and is well stocked. We hope that our next stay in Pemba Cottage will be in the sunshine...."
