Reviews of Ermysteds Cottage

"All the reviews accurately describe this cottage, it's location to the amenities of Skipton etc. The stairs are very steep and not suitable to anyone infirm. The bathroom has no grab rails. The courtyard garden is in fact not isolated from the other terraced courtyards and is in fact a walk through to the others. The front looks nice in the photographs. What it doesn't show are the row of dustbins opposite the front door and window.. This again is shared by all in the terrace. Parking is limited to four cars on a first come basis and you can get hemmed in. Best to find off street parking nearby."

"We have just returned from a weeks stay in this lovely one bedroom cottage. It was spotlessly clean just the sort of place you want to return to after a day out walking. Very handy for train station and town centre and shops. We did not have a car but this was not a problem public transport very easy to get to other places for walking.. Our first time in Skipton but will be back and would stay in this again Large bed best sleep I have had for ages"

"Lovely, cosy little cottage in a very convenient location. Information about the various gadgets/heating was very helpful, and there were lots of useful tips - both from the owners and from previous guests in the feedback book - on things to do in the area. The bed was so incredibly comfortable that it was a task getting up every morning."

"The cottage is well placed, well equipped, and everything is explained in a brochure ( heating etc ). It was spotlessly clean on arrival, and the owner called after a day to see if we needed anything. A welcome pack of milk, tea and Yorkshire biscuits would have been a nice touch, but we can only make the suggestion. The bed is super comfortable. Skipton is a great little town and a brilliant base from which to explore the dales. We had a lovely week, with some glorious days, but the wet ones were good too, with visits to Saltaire and Harrogate and we would return happily on another occasion."

"The cottage was in a good location only a ten minute walk to the town centre. The owner was very friendly and helpful answering any questions we had. The cottage was very cosy and had everything we needed. Skipton is a nice little town with plenty of small shops to explore. Harrogate is nearby. Grassington village is a lovely little village to visit. There is a vegetarian cafe/restaurant there called The Retreat which serves lovely snacks and meals at reasonable prices. Worth a visit if you are vegetarian. Would highly recommend it."
