Reviews of Hollyhedge Cottage

"The cottage is within easy travelling distance of the coast and market towns of Holt, Fakenham and Aylsham. The village has good amenities plus two public houses. There was everything you could have wanted in the cottage and more. Very comfortable and clean. Would definitely go back"

"We stayed in this delightful cottage over the Christmas period and were amazed at how beautifully it was decorated, even Christmas crackers were supplied. It is very well equipped with everything you would need for a stay. We took our two dogs so the garden was a bonus. The log fire made it for us as it was cold and frosty outside so we huddled around the fire. We paid a visit to Holt which is only a short drive away, a very quaint village with nice shops. Overall a very Happy Christmas break."

"If you are looking for a real character cottage this is for you. From the wooden beams in the living room to the enormous fireplace it really was an absolute treat to stay here this week.Enclosed well maintained garden, fantastic if you have pets. There wasnt anything more we could have asked for .Hollyhedge cottage is well located for you to discover the beauty that lies within Norfolk. Wroxham Broads def worth a visit and Sheringham Park. Definitely give the Hunnybell restaurant a visit (5 mins) by car.Great atmosphere, location and desserts were to die for! :) Only 1 thing I would say is if anyone has trouble climbing stairs then the single room on ground floor is more suited.Other than that we didn't want to leave! "The cottage was in a central position for Thursford, Sherringham and Cromer. The garden was fully-enclosed if you have a dog and the wooden beams, the rope to pull you up the steep curved stairs and the large wood burner all added to the feel and comfort of the cottage. "

"The cottage was excellent and without doubt one of the best we have stayed in. We particularly liked the summerhouse but the accommodation, overall, was superb. Everything possible was provided and there is nothing, whatsoever, that we could complain about. The location is also first class for exploring the north Norfolk coast. Wells, Holkham (Hall and Bay), Blakeney, Holt, Sheringham and Cromer are all in easy reach."

"A really great English cottage - almost out of an American film. The original cottage is one room downstairs and two up, with kitchen, bathroom and downstairs cabin sized bedroom attached as extensions at some stage. Excellently equipped. The really good things: downstairs bedroom by bathroom for elderly relative who couldn't do stairs; great sun trap garden and summer house; awesome fireplace;really good central North Norfolk location; good Pub 43 paces down the road. The quirky things: Parking off road a challenge for a big car like ours, ancient staircase a challenge for the unsteady, especially after the pub;second bedroom is found via first bedroom The irritating things: electric storage heaters ( I hate them); only one load of logs so had to buy more;no wifi and no O2 signal (other mobile signals ok ish) Dog loved lying in front of fire after a great run on the beach every day.. Try the village store/butcher/baker ....awesome"
