Wheelton is a village and civil parish in the Borough of Chorley in Lancashire. The abounding area has something for everyone; from countryside walking and cycling to historical houses, halls and castle ruins, even museums and art galleries, and plenty of exciting family outtings. Pendle Hill is notorious for its tales of the so called 'Pendle Witches' of Lancashire dating back to 1612; discover the moorlands engulfing the area and delve into its dramatic history along the way, there are many trails for countryside enthusiasts such as the 43-mile Pendle Way and parts of the Bronte Way. Blackburn lies on the southern edge of the Ribble Valley and offers museums, shopping, Blackburn Cathedral and Witton Country Park.
