Reviews of St Davids

"The house is just a short walk away from Yarmouth, which has pubs, restaurants and shops - perfect for a gin and tonic in the evening if you are that way inclined. The house is well equipped with everything you could need to prepare food for a large group. All 5 bedrooms have really comfy beds made up with good quality linen and lovely snuggly blankets were a nice touch. The views over the solent from the living room are to die for - definitely my favourite room of the house to sit and relax in. There is a conservatory with plenty of seating as well as garden furniture on the patio with a garden and washing line (very useful when taking small children anywhere). In all the property is perfect for large groups. We will definitely be back!"

"We stayed for a week in this lovely house. Very good size rooms, the view from the upstairs lounge is beautiful - looking out onto the Solent - with gorgeous sunsets. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of cooking utensils, knives etc. Well situated, about a 5 minute walk into Yarmouth with good selection of restaurants, pubs and a local store. We are already planning our next trip!"

"If you want a large, comfortable house near Yarmouth then this is the place for you. As others have mentioned, the house is nicely situated just a few minutes walk from the very pleasant village of Yarmouth which has a variety of shops and places to eat. There are endless places to walk, ride or drive with something for everyone. The house has large, light bedrooms, nicely furnished, with sinks in some rooms which cuts down the time in the bathrooms for teeth cleaning and shaving etc. Children can try crabbing, just across the road which is better than on the pier. The views from the upstairs windows are unmissable and if you are lucky you will see a million stars when the light subsides. Go see for yourself."

"This is an attractive, well equipped and well maintained house and it has been designed with thought and imagination. The bedrooms are large and communal areas attractive, so that guests have privacy as well as convivial times together - perfect for groups or mixed generation families. The off street parking is big enough for three cars. Location is excellent - a short walk to Yarmouth (for breakfast and interesting shops), and the many rural and coastal attractions of the IoW on the doorstep. We had a wonderful Christmas holiday - and cooking Christmas meals for 5 adults and 2 children was easy in the well appointed kitchen."

"Recently returned from a full weeks booking for our extended family. Plenty of room for eight adults, two children and two babies. Very well equipped with plenty of facilities to cope with such a large group. Room to park four cars and not only an easy 10 minute walk from central Yarmouth but the number 7 and a Rover open top bus stop outside the door. All the bedrooms are large with first class bedding. We enjoyed time in the upstairs lounge with great sea views and the downstairs conservatory with easy access to the garden and BBQ. There is a signed footpath across the road which leads to the coastal path and several of our group enjoyed watching the sunset (and a glass of wine) on a bench where path emerges. we can also recommend the old railway track ) turn left from side entrance and its 50 yards on right hand side. The path will take you all the way to Freshwater (around 45 minutes) but do stop off at the wonderfully restored Railway Station Cafe which served excellent breakfast and coffee. Such a great holiday we were reluctant to leave and have it on our list to return for a future stay. Highly recommended."

"our group of 10 friends have a great long weekend at St Davids in September. The house was even better than the photos showed, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. House was immaculate, clean and very comfortable. The location could not be better, a very easy walk to Off The Rails restaurant, which is a disused railway station, Also very easy to walk into town and can recommend Salty's, a fish restaurant in the heart of Yarmouth, which has live music on a Saturday night in the season. A great walk can be had to Freshwater Bay,and onwards to Alum Bay and the Needles (if you have the stamina) There is bus from the Needles viewpoint back to just outside the house. I cannot recommend this property highly enough, We would love to go back, as there is so much more to see and do."

"We had a fantastic weekend celebrating our mothers birthday. House was clean and well presented, kitchen had everything you could need. We arrived Friday evening and had a sainsbury shopping delivery and then had a barbaque. The bathrooms were moder. We had lots of places to sit and chat, lounge with glorious views, dinning room, conservatory and garden, all comfortably seating 10. We were quite sad to leave and kept thinking about the house all week. Would love to stay again."

"We had a lovely stay at St Davids. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated, everything was immaculate and very comfortable. There are beautiful views across the sea from the house and lovely walks along the coast and into the town. There is lovely outside space and there was plenty of parking for our group, we easily fit 3 cars and there would have been room for 1 more. Highly recommended this house."

"St David's is every bit as good as it looks in the pictures! Newly refurbished, spotlessly clean and very well equipped for a family holiday. Yarmouth is a lovely part of the Isle of Wight and the sea views from the house are magnificent. One thing I would note is that there is only off-road parking for 2 cars and with a house that sleeps 10 you may need more than that (we didn't!)."
