Reviews of Stonewind Farm

"This is the perfect country cottage for anyone looking for peace and quiet, but with easy proximity to Freshwater and West Wight. It's peaceful, private and sits in pretty gardens next to a field with sheep, pheasants and rabbits. The owner is so helpful and friendly, but will leave you alone throughout your stay, unless you need anything. The shops and cafes at Freshwater (including a wonderful bookshop/teashop) are within a pleasant 15 minute stroll if you don't want to take the car or need to carry heavy shopping. Highly recommended. Can't wait to go back!"

"The cottage was more spacious than it appeared in the photos. A very peaceful environment with just sheep and pheasants for company. The location between 2 coasts was superb once we had overcome the road system! Ideal for children with large grassy area."

"The cottage was really a home from home and extremely comfortable. It is in a very quiet rural spot but is within easy walking distance of local shops and a short drive from a reasonably sized Co-op. Our neighbours were sheep. The owner was very welcoming, helpful and keen to ensure our comfort."

"A comfortable, clean and quaint cottage in lovely rural location. Bedrooms comfortable, kitchen well appointed and cottage very warm. We had a few problems with the infrastructure, but these were dealt with quickly by the owner. Local supermarkets delivered efficiently, and it was walking distance from a very narrow beach. Because of the location, most places were visited by car, but a local grocer and chip shop were within easy walking distance. Maps of the local area showing footpaths, etc would have been helpful. It was difficult to know where we could/couldn't walk the dog. Some wonderful day trips out from this location. It's a shame that the garden wasn't yet fully fenced for the dog, but the owners were dealing with this."

"This farm cottage suited us perfectly. Everything was in good order and on arrival there was a vase of flowers and a small 'welcome pack' including tea and biscuits. The farm is more spacious than it looks from the website. Because the weather was kind we didn't spend too much time indoors, making use of the outside table and chairs in the private and sunny patio area when we were not out exploring this beautiful part of the island. We were made to feel very welcome and would recommend wholeheartedly."

"A really peaceful, rural setting, away from any other properties. Large garden and outdoor areas which were enjoyed by the children. A very well equipped cottage (including dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer) which helped to make our stay very easy and comfortable, especially after returning from days at the beaches. "
