Reviews of Gordon's House

"Ok... Everything in the house is perfect. Honestly, it's fantastic. However...I wish I could transfer the house to let's say, a nicer part of town. The neighbors are horrendous. The music pounding through the wall simply upsets. I went round to try and ask them to turn the music down, but was in need of a Polish translator. The road at the bottom for the garden is so loud, that sitting and enjoying the sunshine is not possible. Also... You will be overlooked by yet more eastern European folk stearing at you from the to the flat next door to the house, every evening... As they seem to gather nightly. You can see why Gordan doesn't live here... You can see why Andover voted to leave the EU. A great house if you don't intend to use it or have children that need to sleep from 7.30pm onwards. Otherwise... Find somewhere that is detached, and not on the worst street on Andover."

"We recently stayed at Gordon's House for a week and enjoyed our stay. It is quite spacious and clean and the cake left for us on arrival was a nice touch. It is centrally located in Andover and is a good base for exploring Hampshire. I wouldn't necessarily describe it as 'luxury' as it wasn't very high spec, but it is very nice and comfortable and we had a good time. Lots of good space for family dining. We did struggle with the restrictions on the Sky TV. To watch most things we wanted to watch pre watershed a PIN was required and it isn't provided to guests. Fortunately we had brought a laptop so were able to access Netflix etc but it was a shame not to be able to use the TV properly. Parking on the drive is a little awkward if you have a big car and there is no bath."

"Visited this lovely town house with a couple of friends and their 2 year old, as we were visiting Legoland. What a wonderful place. It was warm, cosy and very comfortable. Really felt at home in this house and wonderfully situated, just a 5 minute walk from the town. We didn't actually meet the owner, as our friends booked it, but hats off to her, as she had thought of everything. I would definately recommend this rental to people."

"The house is very nice and clean and had more than enough space for a family of 6. With its own parking spot in front of the house and enough parking space on the small road this was also no issue. The house was in walking distance of Andover railway station, connecting with London-Waterloo and other cities in South West England. Many interesting locations are reachable by car within a short period. It was a great vacation, thank you very much."

"We know this area very well, having lived there for a number of years. Now we live in sunnier climes, we were looking for somewhere to stay to be able to visit our daughter and grandchildren. Absolutely thrilled to have found Gordon's House. The house was very clean on arrival and we were greeted by the owner, which was lovely and very informative. First impressions were "wow" - we loved it. All the rooms are lovely and spacious, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen is large enough to dine in, which we made good use of. Beds were lovely, comfortable and the linen smelled gorgeous. Shower room was large and spacious and there were plenty of towels provided. Our eldest grandson, loved the cinema room, as did the hubby when the footie was on! We will definitely return (if we can ever find a space in the busy calendar!)"

"It's just a lovely property. Great care and attention to detail has gone into the recent refurbishment of this spacious Victorian Doctor's family home and it shows. It is an easy 10 minute walk into the centre of Andover (with plenty of shops, restaurants pubs etc.). However the location is in a very quiet cul de sac and the rear garden is totally private. On arrival we were greeted by Janet who asked us to let her know later if there was anything, however minor, which she should provide for subsequent guests. Try as we might we failed - we had everything we could wish for. It is a very comfortable family home and does not feel at all like a holiday let!"
