Location

The Rose Cottage in the village of Awre has four bedroom, with each consisting of one super king size double, another king size double and a twin bed. Equipped and furnished to an exceptional standard, the spacious accommodation offers a welcoming and comfortable feel. There is a big farmhouse kitchen with a delightful conservatory and very attractive patio and garden at the back of the house. Upstairs the largest bedroom gets a view out over the fields, which is great for when you get back to Rose Cottage after a busy day.

The Rose Cottage is located on the edge of the tiny village of Awre and close to the River Severn, where it makes a large loop south of Gloucester. The Severn Way runs to the river and all the activities of the Forest of Dean are nearby with wonderful walking country, as well as cycling and riding on marked trails. Canoeing and fishing are available on the River Wye, and fascinating glimpses of history can be found in places such as Clearwell Caves.

Herefordshire offers visitors the chance to journey through lush green countryside, enjoying splendid black-and-white timbered villages, a magnificent cathedral city, a fairytale Georgian castle at Eastnor or books galore in famous Hay-on-Wye.
