"We had absolutely brilliant sunny week at Majestic cottage. The owners couldn't be more helpful and kind. We felt very welcome there. Everything was perfect, cottage was clean and very warm even we were there in the middle of the February. Lovely garden and fields full of horses and donkeys. The location of the cottage is perfect to visit Stonehenge, Old Wardor Castle, Westbury White Horse, Osmington White Horse, Durdle Door, Avebury, Ladram Bay and Charmouth Beach for fossil hunting, Kimmeridge Bay etc. We definitely would love to come again. "Disgusting dirty cottage. We spent 2 hours degreasing the kitchen and washing crockery before we could make a cup of tea. The place stank and the beds were dreadful. The bathroom was a hive of filth. We book for a week and stay two nights all going home with bad backs due to the thin mattresses on the beds. They have a lot of animals and the cottage smelt like they over wintered them in there. The noise from the main road traffic is hurendous and the stairs are certainly not child friendly."

"We stayed at the Majestic with our 6 year old daughter in May half-term and we were then joined later in the week by our friends and their 6 year old (and little puppy). The owners Shel and Rich could not be more welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. The cottage has lovely paddocks at the back where you can sit in the lovely gardens overlooking the ponies and donkeys and watch the sunset. The owners very kindly took the girls out in the paddocks to meet their animals which the girls obviously loved! We were very lucky with the weather and even managed a lovely bbq on the last night which made a perfect end to a lovely week. There is a great pub/restaurant nearby (the Kings Arms in East Stour) which serves excellent (and very reasonably priced) food. We also took a drive out to Sherborne Castle (about 20 min drive away) and had a lovely day there walking around the Castle and the beautiful grounds. We were all sad to say goodbye to the Majestic and to Shel and Rich (and their animals) and the girls (and Bobby the puppy) were all delighted with the little treat they were given as we left. Thank you Shel & Rich!"

"A lovely cottage in a great central location to explore Dorset and the surrounding counties. This cottage is a must for dog owners as the fully enclosed garden lets you relax knowing they'll be safe. The shared garden has a barbecue and seating area so you can spend your evenings relaxing outside. The cottage is clean and very comfortable with everything you should need, however if anything else is required, the owners Shel and Rich are only too happy to help. We will definitely go back."
