Reviews of The Rowans

"We loved our break away in this lovely spacious, peaceful cottage in the heart of the woods. With the New Forest one way, Hardy Country the other and also a beautiful coastline with lovely beaches all within easy driving distance, who could ask for more. It does say when booking that they don't provide towels so we were prepared and the lack of wifi was no problem for us, I like to get away from social media sometimes and my husband, who doesn't, brings his own. We have already booked for next year."

"We were travelling with 3 boys under 10, myself, my wife and my parents plus one dog. The property was very spacious inside so we never felt crowded. Everything was finished to a high standard and lovely and clean. The property had only recently been opened and the park rangers (who manage the property) were keen to make it better and had already acted on comments left from the previous few guests, On the whole the property itself was lovely but when you consider the setting it becomes a truly wonderful place to stay. The house was surrounded by forest and the attached garden was very spacious indeed (although still a little rough around the edges), our 3 boys, who can be very loud at times, were able to make as much noise as they wanted without fear of bothering any neighbours. During our visit one of the rangers, Marco, visited to make sure everything was ok. We pointed out a couple of minor problems and he fixed one straight away and arranged for the other to be sorted the day after. On the whole he could not have been more helpful. In summary, very very happy with the stay, when the garden is a little more established then I see this property being very very popular."
