Reviews of The Chalet

"Ringwood 2 miles away 10 miles from beautiful south coast and right next door to New forest. Lovely location and lovely house for perfect peace. Rangers extremely kind and helpful. Wonderful secure garden for children or pets and a stunning view out of every window. Perfect location at any time of the year."

"Lovely cottage in the woods, would really benefit from having some sort of wifi or sky package tho as there is not much to do. Also to be able to look for attractions , restaurants etc. Beds were really hard and uncomfortable. Having a jack Russell terrier , front gate not enclosed enough as dog got out, so in need of chicken wire to keep safe. Beautiful walks in the forest, and loved seeing the cows, squirrels and birds etc ."

"Our second time at this lovely warm and cosy cottage, hopefully not our last. Another lovely break away in the forest. A great place to get your children out and exploring nature, my granddaughter didn't want to leave, or just to immerse yourself in peace and quiet. Although the hustle and bustle of Bournemouth, Poole and Southampton are just a short drive away. There is also a great play park close by and a cafe with lovely home made cakes straight out of the oven. The Dorset Apple cake would be difficult to beat!"

Also had the added bonus of the beautiful beaches of Bournemouth just a short drive away. All in all a lovely break away!"

"The location of the chalet deep in the country park was great with lots of walks and wildlife. The chalet was lovely and clean with all of the mod cons you would expect - the wood burner was lovely, we didn't really need it as the weather was glorious but we did fire it up a couple of times for the novelty of it. The location of the country park itself is great, close to lots of amenities and we never really had to travel for more than 30 minutes to get anywhere. We all had a fantastic time and would certainly consider coming back again. "

We had my elderly mother with us and so keeping her warm was a priority. The central heating was efficient but on top we had a woodburner and an endless supply of logs (not just a starter pack!) The ranger Steve Davies was on hand and nothing, it seemed, was too much trouble. We enjoyed the location as we had a guide dog with us. Endless walks were just outside the front door! I wouldn't hesitate to return, maybe in the warmer weather too."

"We were given a brief tour and the owner explained the running of this property which was very much appreciated. When we entered the property we were pleasantly surprised. It was very, very clean and nice and bright as it has plenty of windows. Excellent for any who may be slightly physically challenged as there is an entrance that you can get a wheelchair through. There is a good sized twin bedroom on the ground floor and the bathroom is situated on that floor also. If you want peace and quiet then please consider this property. The yard is enclosed which is great for a family of 6 plus if you want to take your well behaved family pooch, there is plenty of room for them too. I highly recommend this property both for families and the mature person. Lots of exploring can be done. I definitely will be returning and I have already checked out the dates for next year. The folks at Sykes are very friendly and helpful."
