Reviews of High Park Barn

"We spent a wonderful week here and explored different parts of Devon each day. It is perfectly located. The hosts are wonderful, welcoming, helpful and made our visit memorable. We toured Exmoor on one day, Darmouth and Sidmouth on another, Exmoor on another day and spent most of two days in the historic city of Exeter. Quintessentially Devon! The cottage is perfect. Easy to park in front. Paths along the river are just outside. The cottage is a historic building so front door is low but inside there was plenty of room for me at 6'2" (hint for never banging your head on the front door lintel: place your hand on it as you enter). The private patio in back is wonderful and on mornings when it did not rain, we enjoyed our coffee there as we planned our day."

"Lovely little place and a perfect base for being able to get in your car and explore various seaside areas close by. Lovely little touch leaving us some eggs, milk and biscuits for our arrival. Plenty of maps in the draw to look at the local area and plan your trips. We would go again as it was such a relaxing time away. Thank you"

"Set on the outskirts of the heart of the village, a 10 minute walk from pub and local shop, this is an ideal base to stay should you wish to visit the surrounding area. The cottage is cosy, clean and welcoming. Tom and Sarah (and Cass the dog, Denzil the cat) are friendly and should you stay you are assured they are on hand to help. Beautiful setting, views, peace and quiet. Just what the doctor ordered! Thank you. "

"A fantastic location for a winter break given it was within walking distance to the village and a short drive to Tiverton. The owners were great hosts who were very friendly and willing to give any assistance if needed."

"Location and first impressions were good, location was ideal for our needs. The accommodation needs a lot of TLC and thought spent on it and it could be a lovely place. It needs decorating and cleaning, there were marks on all the walls, a damp patch on the wall to the left of the terrace doors in the bedroom, cobwebs every where, under the bed it was filthy. It is a good location for walkers, there is a dishwasher, but we would have preferred a washing machine. Net curtains in the bedroom had varnish stains on them, all the woodwork showed bad condensation stains. The facilities for a dog was very good. It was over priced for what was offered."

"Had all we needed for a week stay. Only saw owners briefly at the start and would have liked more info. Loved the bedroom and everything clean and tidy. Need a car as amenities are out of town. Small grocery and pub in town. Had a really good stay. Had trouble finding cottage and had to ask a neighbour."
