Reviews of Lake View

"We booked this cottage for a week in May and it was lovely, this barn has been converted to a very high standard, there is everything you need, washing machine, dish washer, iron, ironing board etc, it was very clean and well furnished and comfortable, it was very warm - we turned the heating off so I think it would be cosy in winter time, our hosts were very friendly and welcoming, the view from the cottage of the lake was lovely, bed was very comfortable, plenty of towels provided, parking space, we found the horses in the next field very entertaining, the cottage is in a good position for exploring Devon, we went to several National Trust Properties. The road to the farm is narrow and bumpy but not a problem, lots of the roads in Devon are very narrow with high hedges, the Co-op which is the nearest shop is actually bigger than it looks and very well stocked, we enjoyed some good quality meals at the Tom Cobley pub a short drive away. We would recommend this cottage and would certainly return in the future."

"We loved the grounds of the holiday home - the stables and ponies, the fields with sheep, the ability to take a nice long walk through the countryside. We loved being situated so that we could go to both Exmoor park and Dartmoor park. But we most like the owner and their family. They were accommodating, helpful, and treated us as very special guests."

The views are beautiful, and my little girl particularly enjoyed the gardens and adjoining land. She adored the horses, geese and chickens. I would highly recommend this property, and hope to visit again very soon."
