Shop,pub and railway station 3 mins walk. Note: Steep slope with handrail approaching property followed by 8 stone steps to front patio. Note: No stag/hen parties, or similar. Note: The galleried landing overlooks the sitting room, therefore care should be taken. Note: A range of home-cooked meals/salads and desserts is available from the owner at additional cost. Dronfield is a Derbyshire market town with a history dating back to before the 1086 Domesday Book, and has a number of 12th century buildings which are still in existence. The town has a wide range of shops, pubs, restaurants and also a modern sports centre, and is surrounded by wonderful Peak District countryside where the walks are asking to be explored.

"We chose Vale Barn as the venue for our family Christmas this year. Having 3 elderly relatives in residence for Christmas Day presents a number of challenges for any venue. Vale Barn is very well equipped in all aspects, spotlessly clean and extremely easy to keep warm (important with 3 octogenarians in the party. The kitchen coped easily with producing a full scale Christmas dinner for 5 people and there was more than enough table and seating space for people to be comfortable. The owners, David and Lucy are very friendly and had gone to the trouble of decorating the barn for Christmas, a really nice touch. Vale Barn is a gem on the outskirts of Sheffield. We would be happy to recommend it to anyone"
