It was once the centre of the ancient parish of Beetham and rests within the Silverdale and Arnside designated area of outstanding natural beauty, located only fifteen minutes from the Lake District. Further afield is Milnthorpe, once a medieval market town, resting in the South Lakes between Kendal and Carnforth, just a few miles from the seaside village of Arnside.

Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
