Reviews of Town Farm

"Wow! What an amazing holiday let, the best we have ever stayed at. It is difficult to write down everything which made this a most brilliant place to stay but I'll try!. Paula and Stephen are great hosts who thought of everything to ensure we had a great time at Town Farm. Communication before we arrived was fantastic and Paula offered to be there for the online shopping delivery. All the beds were extremely comfortable and were made up to our requirements The kitchen was extremely well equipped - not just the statutory 1 cup, knife fork, plate etc each - so catering for all 10 of us was not an issue especially with 2 ovens, microwave and combi oven and numerous tins and serving dishes and utensils! Christmas dinner could easily be cooked in this kitchen! The whole house was spotless, comfortable and beautifully furnished so had a real home from home feel about it. A bathroom for everyone is such a great thing and meant we could all be ready in good time and be out to enjoy the beautiful part of the world in which we found ourselves. We had such fun in the hot tub and I was most impressed that it was maintained every day by our hosts - such great service. The outdoor play space was great for the children and Paula even fetched a sit and ride especially for the smallest member of the family and fishing nets for plodging down by the river. There were also loads of games and puzzles for all ages so everyone was catered for. It is obvious that a lot of time and effort has been put into Town Farm and this has paid off in bucket loads as it is absolutely stunning! We arrived here by default as the property I had originally booked became unavailable but are not sorry at all and we were all very grateful to have been able to experience this property at the start of it's journey. Thanks again to Paula (amazing pavlova! soooo kind!) and Stephen, such lovely hardworking people who deserve every success with this project. We would wholly recommend this place for a get together of friends and/or family as it has everything you would need - even sheep in a field at the end of the garden! Proper job! Amazing!"

"Booked a family 'get together' weekend to celebrate big sister's birthday; not allowed to say which one. The bedrooms were all outstanding, so no arguments there. The kitchen was 'to-die for' so sharing catering was a pleasure. Sitting in the hot tub on Saturday night was a highlight. The cottage was so fabulous and clean we could barely drag ourselves out to discover the local amenities. However, we did visit the renowned Bowes Museum in nearby Barnard Castle and had a fabulous walk in the beautiful deer park at Raby Castle, Staindrop. Owners extremely helpful and next time we will definitely book the catering offered."

"We had the privilege of staying here for New Years eve along with our 9 month old daughter and 3 other couples. The accommodation was spectacular and finished to an incredibly high standard. The kitchen comes with everything you could possibly need, even a pressure cooker! The hot tub is opposite the snug room, which houses an enormous flat screen allowing you to watch tv whilst soaking in the bubbles. I honestly couldn't recommend this cottage enough, we had a fantastic time here. The photos really don't do it justice, we will be back. A big thank you to the owners."
