Reviews of Butterwick

"This was a lovely converted barn; it was comfortable, cosy and in a beautiful part of the country, with lots of sightseeing opportunities within easy reach. It was thoroughly enjoyable and we received a warm welcome on arrival."

"Wonderful properties which enabled us as a family to be all together for the first time for some years. Loved the area. The more active members made good use of the variety of waterfall walks and other activities. Friendly hosts. Introducing our grandchildren to the pony was much appreciated. Sauna and spa bath well used throughout (especially by the walkers)! Lovely facilities, lovely people, good pubs in the area, what more could anyone ask?"

"This is a lovely spacious barn, light and relaxed- great for a family group. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside and with friendly owners next door. Could have done with a good clean and some maintainance but overall very good. The dog living on the other side of the road is a bit fierce and doesn't like other dogs."

"We particularly liked the fact that we were able to open up the 2 adjacent properties, Butterwick and Millstone, into each other and have a huge house for 8 adults and 2 young children. Our grand-daughter loved the farm and was able to feed chickens and lambs and ride a pony. The small childrens play area outside was a great success, as were the numerous toys for all ages inside the house. Adults appreciated the jacuzzi bath and sauna and found the cooking and dining facilities brilliant for large family meals. Overall a brilliant holiday. "

It makes a pleasant change to go to a holiday home where you are not paying to have fewer facilities then you do in your own home. This cottage was equipped to live in, rather than just exist in."
