Reviews of Kosy Kot

"This is a lovely cottage situated in Hayle which is a good base to start each day exploring Cornwall. We had a really warm welcome when we arrived at this extremely clean cottage as, waiting for us was milk, coffee, tea, cornish biscuits and flowers. There were also plenty of toiletries. All facilities at this cottage are of a high standard with a fantastic (very large) bath and extremely comfortable beds - very important to us. The cottage is advertised for 4 people as it has 2 small double bedrooms but 4 people staying in it may be a little too kosy! We can't fault the cottage itself but a couple of points to be aware of when considering staying here. It is situated on a very busy road. Throughout the night, large noisy tractors with very bright orange flashing lights went up and down it making sleep a little difficult so , if there only 2 people staying, the second bedroom at the back is a better choice as it is quieter. Also being advertised as having parking for 2 cars is stretching the truth somewhat. We have a normal medium sized car. If we'd parked on the drive, there was no room either side to open the doors. By driving to the top of the drive, we could get out the car but there wasn't enough room to turn the car round and certainly not enough room for another car to park. Having driven up the drive we then had to reverse off it onto the busy road, turn the car round on the road and then reverse it up the drive to make it easier to get out and this is what we had to do every day. If anyone turns up in a large car - or 2 couples come in a car each - they are going to be sadly disappointed as not only will they not be able to park on the drive but they won't be able to park on the road either due to double yellow lines all the way down the road. However, whilst this meant we couldn't give the cottage a full 5 stars, it was still a lovely kosy place to stay which we enjoyed"
