Falmouth, has the world's third largest harbour, possesses winding streets and beaches. It will keep you occupied for hours. There's also harbour-side pubs, shopping, an art gallery and of course the National Maritime Museum Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII, it's signature attraction, located on its own peninsula. Just over from the harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, which is surrounded rocky coves, beaches and the green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Swanpool Nature Reserve is also close, and has a lagoon and a variety of wildlife. Falmouth really does offer something for all of the family.
