Maenporth Beach, a pretty, secluded cove with a sandy beach is a short walk down the hill.
Falmouth, with its harbour, winding streets and beaches, boasts pubs, shops, an art gallery and National Maritime Museum. Pendennis Castle is a popular attraction, on its own peninsula with sea views. Across the harbour is the town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, beaches and the countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. There is also Swanpool Nature Reserve; a lagoon and SSSI, with a variety of wildlife. Falmouth offers landscape and attractions for everybody, sure to tempt you back time and again.
Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.
Reviews of Pine Cottage
"This cottage is a little gem especially at this time of the year when all on the development is really quiet. Wildlife in abundance viewed from the sitting room window. Squirrels, rabbits, A Buzzard. Crows, blackbirds etc. The whole cottage in perfect order with every convenience spotlessly clean in every respect. WHAT A GEM! Milk and a Bottle of wine were left by the Owner which was a very kind gesture and much appreciated. We shall certainly return to this spot with beaches within walking distance and lovely walks around Swanpool and the pool to boot. Cannot praise it highly enough."
