Reviews of Bulls Cottage

"Stopped here 26.08.16 to 02.09.16 after finding it on the Sykes Cottage website in January of this year. Not been to Cornwall for years so this year my husband, daughter (11 years) & I decided this was the place for is & to top it off we treated the dog to a holiday too!!! What a gem of a find Bull's Cottage was. Very, very rural & no pubs or shops within walking distance so it's a case of make sure you have all the supplies you need of a night/day but this didn't bother us as we were out all day & came back at night & relaxed on the patio area & the owners even provided a stake & wire length to attach the dog too as the garden isn't secured. The cottage itself is open plan, lovely conservatory, with a double bedroom in the eaves upstairs & a twin bedroom downstairs with patio doors on to the garden. Very nicely decorated, light & airy & very homely with everything you need. Washing machine was very handy & also the fact linen & towels are provided helps make packing a little lighter. The owner, Richard, a lovely gent, lives at the back of the cottage in a small cluster of cottages & is on hand for whatever you need. Well worth a visit if you're in the area as quite central to all the seaside areas & towns of interest to visit ..... A very pleasant stay & thank you for making our Cornwall holiday one to remember "

"The cottage is in a tiny cluster of homes including the owners home, but has complete privacy. The location is great, lovely for walking and cycling and within easy reach of bigger places such as Bodmin."

"We stayed there for only 3 nights, should have been more. The cottage is immaculate, everything one could need was there, it has a beautiful aspect and if you like walking, you'r in for a treat. Richard, the owner, lives close at hand and nothing we required was too much trouble for him.A couple of points which I need to mention though, my wife is disabled and can't walk very far, so for a nocturnal visit to the bathroom the 12 steps down & up from the master bedroom was too much, so we had to sleep in the second bedroom with 2 single beds on the same level as the bathroom. You really do need a GPS/Sat' Nav to get about, as all around the cottage are more or less single track roads (I reckon a Range Rover is about as big a vehicle as you can safely get around in) and I would have never found my way there or back from our coastal visits had I not had one. But these small obstacles, which wont really be a problem for most folk, I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a REAL "get away from it all" holiday."
