Reviews of Laurel Cottage

"We booked this cottage as we wanted to visit friends and family locally. Both the area and the cottage exceeded our expectations. On arrival the cottage was spotless and welcoming. Tastefully done and not over fussy. Perfect accommodation for what we (me, my husband, teenage daughter and 2 small dogs) needed. Well equipped - we cooked proper meals several nights and had everything required. There was an enclosed gravelled courtyard area outside for the dogs - as it was a cold October week we did not sit out! We had shared use (with 2 other holiday properties on the site) of a gorgeous indoor pool and hot tub (available 10am - 7pm). The pool was just large enough for me to burn some calories with proper swimming, and we loved relaxing in the hot tub. The private session booking system via a white board worked well. Owners (who lived on site) were friendly and helpful but not overly intrusive, although I could see from many positive comments in the guest book that they would have been very helpful if you needed them. We could walk the dogs without getting in the car. There was a foot path opposite for a quick walk and Brereton Nature Reserve was in easy reach (Bears Head in Brereton fantastic for Sunday roast after long walk!). There are lots of National Trust options - we went to Dunham Massey and Alderley Edge. Plenty of great dog friendly country pubs also. The Cheshire countryside is beautiful - stunning in the autumn and we were lucky with the weather."

"We have just come back from a 5 night stay in this beautiful cottage, everything you need like home from home. The bonus of this holiday was the heated swimming pool and hot tub. Fantastic place, owners are so welcoming. We will definitely be back with rest of the family to book all 3 cottages. 5 stars in my eyes."

"From the start Jacky was so helpful with our booking nothing was too much trouble that we knew we that we would be in good hands. Upon arrival our cottages they were so clean it almost brand new, the grounds around were so well kept that there is clear attention to detail and everywhere is so clean. The photographs of the pool and Jacuzzi do not do it justice it is simply one of the best places to relax and unwind. The owners Jacky and Mark have such local knowledge that finding a great restaurant every evening was a breeze. From the start our expectations were exceeded and we can't thank Jacky enough for all her help what a gem in the Cheshire countryside. I must point out that we booked both Laurel and Primrose cottages which suited out large party of adults and children. A real credit to Jackie and Mark we will definitely be back we all throughly enjoyed or stay thank you so much for your amazing hospitality that really did exceed expectations."
