Reviews of View Cottage

"After reading the above review I would probably not have booked but we are super glad we did. We found Shaun to be very pleasant and easy going. Our flight arrived early and so we arrived early and he didn't seem to mind at all. No this was not a hotel which is what we wanted. We were happy to not be disturbed and have the amenities of home. We found the furniture to be better quality than some 5star hotels we have stayed in. The price was ridiculously cheap. There were no aditional cleaning fees and location was great. After a busy day of sightseeing or visiting we were happy to head back and have a coffee on the deck outside. We wI'll rent again next year when we go back to the uk. We also had a constant stream of visitors which I thought would be a problem. But was not. Washer and dryer are outside in another building which we did not find to be a problem as the previous reviewer did. I can't see why anyone would have anything negative to say. It is a fantastic rental!"

"We had a fantastic 3 night stay at this cottage, we enjoyed the good space and comfort of it every second. The kitchen is big and the cupboards are full with everything you need if you really want to cook. The bedrooms were a good size and there were 2 bathrooms with showers. The location is exactly what we needed - we had a day out in Liverpool and one in Chester, both were easily accessible, less than 30 minutes drive."

"View Cottage was a comfortable and conveniently located cottage with good facilities and a helpful owner. We particularly liked the general areas surrounding the property, particularly the local walking routes. "

"The house was big enough for two families to spend time together and having two bathrooms was a must. In a great location, central for all of the Wirral, Chester and Liverpool."

"Myself plus 16 friends booked View Cottage and several of the other cottages at Badgers Rake Farm over the weekend of a local wedding. The cottages were great - excellent facilities and everything we needed for a night in together catching up over supper the night before the wedding, and plenty of bathroom space for getting ready the following day (and each house also had an iron and ironing board so the boys could do their shirts - a real plus!). The owner, Shaun, could not have been kinder. Not only did he drive us all to the wedding in his minibus (for free) but he then picked us up from the church and drove us to the reception (for free) and then picked us up at midnight and drove us back to the cottages (again, for free!). We've rented lots of properties both in the UK and abroad for weddings and other big group holidays, and I can honestly say we've never had such wonderful service and such a friendly welcome. The cottages themselves are lovely and ideally located for a relaxing break in the Wirral (I also recommend the Wheatsheaf in a Raby - perfect place both for pre-wedding fun lunch in the traditional bar area, and post-wedding day after recuperation in the huge garden) and I would definitely return."

"The Cottage was set up incredibly well, with good sized rooms and good furnishings - perfect for a large family with small children. I was so impressed to find both baby gates for the stairs and a high chair for the baby. The small play house in the yard was an added bonus and I really appreciated that the yard felt safe and enclosed for the kids to play. Oh, and the large laundry dryer was also very useful! Really, it was a great place to stay and we would heartily recommend it to other visitors."

"Little things mean a lot. Ability to wash clothes and dry them is a must. NO dryer! 7 people need showers and a toilet, upstairs OK,, one downstairs not working for a total 0f 4 days out of two weeks. Septic appears to be a major problem for this property. Manager not very happy booked through a property management company. He complained they demanded too high a booking fee, 22 1/2 percent."
