Reviews of Y Bwthyn

"Disappointing stay in this converted barn that could have been so much better with some easy adjustments. Firstly there was a lack of essential items to use which resulted in us having to go and buy quite a few items. For example there was not any soap to use in either bathroom, or essential items for the kitchen such as oil, salt and pepper (apart from a few very old looking sachets normally found in cafe's) or dishwasher tablets. These basic items would have made a big difference as would a simple welcome basket containing tea, coffee, biscuits and eggs for example. The barn in general is very rustic which has a certain charm about it but a lot of things need updating. There was only one very old tea towel to use that had holes in it, the curtains in the lounge had what looked like chocolate stains on them and were frayed at the bottom. The upstairs bathroom door didn't close very well unless you forced it but all it really needed was a bit of wood shaved off it! There was also mould in both bathrooms and on the kitchen blind. On the plus side, the hot tub outside was lovely and there are some great views of the stars to be had on a clear night. Plus it is a very quiet peaceful location and the owners were friendly and helpful. Overall a rustic barn conversion in a quiet location that needs some attention to detail to make it better."

"The accommodation was very secluded and the location was great for accessing other areas and amenities which were within easy travelling distance. Lots of places to visit for both adults and children whatever the weather - and beautiful beaches at Tenby. The owners could not have been more helpful and friendly and so were the animals - and the hot tub was a bonus. Surrounded by a vast wooded area and as a working farm the animals were a great attraction to my granddaughter. Lovely place to start her appreciating nature. As a family we would certainly use this accommodation again."

"Y Bwthyn is a lovely rural retreat with great views over the Pembrokeshire countryside, there is a wonderful hot tub and lots of space on the farm to mooch about and relax. Having said that, it's also in a great location for exploring Pembrokeshire, with Tenby and many other beautiful beaches not too far away. The owners if the property were very friendly but not intrusive and the property catered very well for our needs with a young baby."
