Reviews of Mertyn Crewe

"This was our second time staying at Mertyn Crewe for the October half term school holiday and we cannot recommend it highly enough. There were seven family members ranging in age from 7 to 76 (plus two dogs), and this property is perfect for all of us. There is so much space both inside and out and we managed to make good use of the gardens as we were lucky with the weather again, apart from the final day. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated with lovely little ornaments and artwork and plenty of good quality towels and bedding - the beds are super comfy! - all of which make it feel homely and very relaxing. Everything you could possibly need is provided and, this time, we arranged for our groceries to be delivered by the local supermarket which worked extremely well. The location of the property is great and it's easy to find. It feels private and secluded and has wonderful views from every room, but it's really not far from the main roads. Finally, I must mention Meryl and Ian, the owners. They are two of the kindest, most helpful people I have ever met. Nothing is too much trouble and they clearly care very much about their property and making sure everyone has an enjoyable stay. Meryl greets with you a smile and warm welcome and provides a special little basket of goodies in the kitchen which were enjoyed by all of us. Over the past thirty years, we have stayed in North Wales at many, many locations but Mertyn Crewe is the best by a mile."

"Mertyn Crewe is hidden down country lanes in an idyllic spot overlooking the Dee estuary and beautiful countryside. The house is spacious and furnishings top quality. Surrounded by lovely gardens in which we were lucky enough to sunbathe and have breakfast as the weather was gorgeous. We were met by Meryl and Ian the owners who were very friendly and informative. Did lots of travelling about sight seeing. Roads are a delight and never busy. Superb holiday let and very well equipped."
