"Really pleased with my stay in kiltartan house 2. Usually I wouldn't review but feel I owe it to Jim (the owner) because what he provides for the price is really excellent. Spotlessly clean and they allowed our little puppy. Bedding, curtains, towels and carpets seemed brand new. They have thought of everything even providing shopping bags, umbrellas, iron, ironing board even tin foil for the grill tray and dishwasher tablets etc! All the Little things that are so handy to have when you arrive after a long trip and the last thing you want to do is go shopping. There was even cookies and a welcome card awaiting us and tea bags too. The owner is very friendly and lives in the large house that is divided into four sets of accommodation. He helped us find our way home when we bumped into him when we got lost on our way home from Achill island (well worth a visit). The house is just down the road from tesco and dunnes stores and there is a lidl in the town. Ballina is pretty large in comparison to other neighbouring towns and I would recommend staying in ballina. Made for an especially relaxing winter break."

"The landlord was awesome. His knowledge of the history of Ireland and the geography of the island was amazing. On top of that, his willingness to help made us feel very at home, his family was very charming. The closeness to the town centre was great, I will definitely recommend this property to my friends and family, and will return to it."
