This cottage is an idyllic haven for a small family or a group of friends.

Situated in the heart of the Blackdown Hills is the traditional Devon village of Upottery. The Blackdown Hills have been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offer excellent opportunities for bird watchers, walkers and wildlife enthusiasts. The 'otter' in the village's name is taken from the nearby River Otter. In 2006, Upottery won the 'Best Kept Village in Devon' and remains a well-tended, well-looked after hamlet that is radiant with flowers in the summer months. History enthusiasts and amateur archaeologists will welcome a chance to visit the fossil beaches of Lyme Regis and Charmouth, part of the West Country's Jurassic Coast. You can easily spend a day here with a fossil-hammer, collecting ammonites, or simply enjoying the rugged coastline. 23 miles away from Upottery, you will find the cathedral city of Exeter. Exeter is an historic city, boasting original Roman walls, underground passages and a 10th century cathedral. In addition, it is well-served by a fantastic shopping centre and a wide range of bars and restaurants to choose from

Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?
